The Opportunity An existing Family Medicine Doctor seeking an energetic entrepreneurial partner to come in and eventually take over his 1 ½ plus doctor thriving practice with 4 employees.  This Successful Practice provides family medicine, some pulmonary care for Miner’s Lung Disease, and OBG care.    Ideal candidate will be BC in Family Medicine, or a dual boarded Med/Ped. New candidate does not have to do OBG unless chooses to do so.  There would be potential for $500 to $600K per year minimum, office expenses average about $150K per year.  If candidate chooses to buy out the terms would be extremely reasonable.

The Hospital:

The General Hospital was established in 1959 to provide Cibola County, New Mexico, with the exceptional health-care services that promote community wellness and improve quality of life. The hospital has been successful on counts, offering patients and their families from throughout northwestern New Mexico the finest possible combination of compassionate care and leading-edge technology.

Today, the 25-bed general acute care hospital is located in a modern, 50,000-square-foot setting and staffed by a dedicated healing team well versed in the latest and best medical procedures. General surgery, 24-hour emergency care, intensive care nursing, internal medicine, obstetrics, pathology, pediatric dentistry, podiatry, primary care and radiology are among the many services offered on site.

The Community:
The Town began as a railroad logging camp for Atlantic and Pacific Railroad which became the Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe railroad empire in the 1880s.  They shipped Timber from the Zuni Mountains to Albuquerque sawmills. After the decline of logging in the 1930s, the community gained fame as the "carrot capital" of the United States. Agriculture was aided by the creation of Bluewater Reservoir, and the region's volcanic soils provided ideal conditions for farming. The Town also benefited from its location on U.S. Route 66, which brought tourists and travelers and the businesses that catered to them.Perhaps the most memorable boom in the town's history occurred when Paddy Martinez, a Navajo shepherd, discovered uranium ore near Haystack Mesa, sparking a mining boom that lasted until the 1980s (see Uranium mining in New Mexico). The collapse of mining pulled the town into a depression, but the town has enjoyed a resurgence based on interest in tourism and the scenic beauty of the region. Recent interest in nuclear power has revived the possibility of more uranium mining in the area, and energy companies still own viable mining properties and claims in the area.

Location / Description

The Town, located in northwest New Mexico, is the gateway to a number of national parks, monuments and Native American pueblos, including Chaco Canyon, El Malpais, El Morro, Acoma-Sky City and Laguna. It is 70 miles west of Albuquerque and 80 miles east of the New Mexico/Arizona border via Interstate 40. The region encompasses lakes, mesas, spectacular lava flows, Indian ruins and majestic mountains like 11,301-foot Mount Taylor.
