THE OPPORTUNITY:

Immediate opportunity for a Hospitalist / Internal Medicine Physician to join our 230 member multi-specialty Medical Group. This is a start up Hospitalist program that will be seeing patients in ICU. The position will cover for our Medical Group patients in one of our Hospitals. Preferred start date is summer of 2009. This is not an H1b or J1 opportunity. 7 days on - 7 days off schedule, with 12 hour shifts.  Average case load per day is 15 – 20 and no initial night shifts.

We are looking for an Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our team of ten. This is an employed opportunity, caring for the inpatients of the peripheral primary care practices who have signed on for coverage.  Clinical Nurse Coordinators are assigned to work closely with the Hospitalists to move patients through the hospital system efficiently and arrange discharge planning.  12 shifts in 28 days.  Average number of patient per shift is 12-15.  No ICU responsibility.  ICU is covered by three fulltime intensivists.
